Last Updated: 1 January 2025
Glass Polishing
By accepting our quotation/estimate, issuing a purchase order, making payment (in whole or in part), or permitting commencement of works, the Client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
-
Inherent Risks of Glass PolishingThe Client acknowledges that glass polishing and scratch removal involve inherent risks, including but not limited to cracking, chipping, shattering, edge failure, or other damage. The polishing process may also result in visual or optical variations, including minor distortion, haze, swirl marks, sheen differences, or changes in appearance due to the nature of glass and abrasion-based correction.
-
No Guarantee of Full Removal / RestorationThe Client acknowledges that certain marks, stains, scratches, or cloudiness may be non-removable or only partially reducible. This includes defects that are within internal layers, such as laminated glass interlayers, embedded contamination, internal stress marks, fabrication defects, or damage below the workable surface. We do not guarantee complete restoration to “as-new” condition.
-
**Coated / Tinted / Specialty Glass (Including Low-E)**Some glass panels may contain coatings or treatments that are not immediately visible (including but not limited to Low-E, tinted coatings, reflective coatings, films, or specialty treatments). Polishing may remove or alter such coatings, resulting in discolouration, patchiness, or visual inconsistency.(a) The Client is responsible to inform us in writing before work begins if any glass is coated/tinted/specialty, and to provide available specifications (if any).(b) If we identify or reasonably suspect coated/specialty glass on-site and the work cannot proceed as quoted, we reserve the right to stop work. In such cases, a transport/attendance charge of S$75 will apply.
-
Pre-Existing Defects and ConditionsWe are not responsible for any pre-existing defects or conditions, including but not limited to wear and tear, discolouration, corrosion, scratches, etching, distortion, delamination, seal failure, manufacturing defects, installation defects, or structural stresses. Any such issues discovered before or during works do not form part of our scope unless explicitly stated in our quotation as an included item.
-
**Limitation of Liability (Direct Loss)**To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Client agrees that we shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from or in connection with the polishing process, including but not limited to cracking or shattering of glass, whether occurring during or after the works. The Client accepts that polishing is undertaken at the Client’s request with knowledge of the risks above.
-
Exclusion of Consequential / Indirect LossTo the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, downtime costs, or alternative accommodation/contractor costs, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise.
-
Client to Provide Utilities and Site AccessUnless otherwise agreed in writing, the Client shall provide sufficient water and electricity required to perform the works, and shall provide safe access to the work area. Delays caused by lack of access, utilities, or site readiness may result in rescheduling and/or additional charges.
-
Weather and External WorksFor external works, we recommend scheduling on non-rainy days to achieve optimal results. If weather conditions adversely affect work quality, progress, or safety, we may pause or reschedule at our discretion. Additional attendance/trip charges may apply where a return visit is required due to conditions beyond our control.
-
Variations and Additional WorksAny items, services, or related works not expressly stated in our quotation/estimate are excluded and shall be treated as a variation order. Variations will be quoted and charged separately and must be accepted by the Client before we proceed.
-
Payment TermsUnless otherwise stated in our quotation/invoice:(a) Payment is due within 3 days of the invoice date.(b) For bookings that require scheduling, procurement, access arrangements, or third-party coordination (e.g., scaffolding/MEWP), we may require a deposit prior to confirmation and/or mobilisation.(c) We reserve the right to suspend or withhold work (including release of completion photos or handover) if payment is overdue.
-
Late Payment / Administrative ChargesIf payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to charge:(a) late payment interest at 5.33% per month calculated daily on the overdue amount (or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower); and/or(b) a reasonable administrative fee to cover follow-up, collection, and banking costs; and/or(c) recovery costs, including legal fees and disbursements, on a full indemnity basis to the extent permitted by law.
-
**Acceptance and Entire Agreement (Quotation/Estimate)**These Terms & Conditions form part of our quotation/estimate and apply to all scratch removal / glass polishing services unless otherwise agreed in writing. In the event of any conflict, our written quotation scope and these Terms & Conditions shall prevail over any verbal discussions. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
Facade Glass Cleaning
By accepting our quotation/estimate, issuing a purchase order, making payment (in whole or in part), or permitting commencement of works, the Client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
-
**Scope of Works (WFP Facade Glass Cleaning)**The Works are limited to external façade glass cleaning using a Water-Fed Pole (WFP) system with purified water and brush agitation, strictly as described in our quotation/estimate. Any work not expressly included (including interior glass, track cleaning, stain removal treatments, polishing/scratch removal, sealant works, or access equipment such as scaffold/MEWP/rope access) is excluded unless stated in writing.
-
Service Limitations / No Guarantee of Full RemovalThe Client acknowledges that WFP cleaning is intended to remove surface dirt, dust, and general grime. Certain stains, marks, or defects may be non-removable or only partially reducible, including (without limitation) hard-water/mineral deposits, efflorescence, cement/paint/adhesive residues, etching, corrosion/oxidation, haze/cloudiness caused by surface damage, construction-related staining, or defects embedded beneath the surface.
In such cases, a transport/attendance charge of S$50 will apply.
